John Angus Walmisley
Biography
John Angus Walmisley was born on 23 November 1791 in Smith Square, London. He and Anne Marie Lambert were married on 6 September 1816. He died on 7 February 1862, at age 70, in Old Brentford.1
Attended Westminster School. Extra Clerk to Clerk of Privilege and Elections in the House of Commons (1823-36) and Deputy Chief Usher of Court of Exchequer (1842-52), but then a Parliamentary Agent in firm of Walmisley and Son, Parliament Street, Westminster. Received the thanks of the Dean and Chapter for hjs services in giving the alarm and for his personal exertion in extinguishing the fire in the North Transept (1829). Captain of ST John's Westminster (Militia). One of the Earl Marshall's gold staff officers at the Coronations of George IV, William IV and Victoria. Died of congestion of the brain and paralysis.1
