Robert Walmisley was born on 28 January 1786. He and Elizabeth Selby were married on 16 November 1811. He died on 1 December 1843, at age 57, in Parish of All Souls, Southampton.
Attended Westminster School and was a chorister. A Clerk in the House of Lords 1814, Messenger, Court of Exchequer 1823-43 and Clerk of the Engrossments 1822-25, Chief Clerk 1835-40; retired 1840. Died of parapligia of the left leg.
